Title of class: “Accountable to God”: Living to Please Our Master
Teacher: Ted Stewart
Begins: September 11, 2011
Location: Auditorium/Balcony
Description:
This course examines believers' responsibilities to God. Learners are challenged to do what God's Word teaches about managing life, abilities, opportunities, and possessions.
This class focuses on the practical aspects of the doctrine of the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We know we are to be “salt and light” and “witnesses” for Jesus Christ. This course will challenge learners to put into everyday life experience what it means to be a true follower of Jesus Christ.
3. Co-Ed Adult (Seniors) Bible Class – Sunday A.M. Christian Education
Title of class: “Where Is Your Church Going?”: Essentials of a Quality Church
Teacher: Dallas Hunt
Begins: September 11, 2011
Location: Classroom # 22 (Lower Level across from the kitchen)
Description:
This course examines the biblical teaching of what makes for a God honoring church. A wise church regularly inspects its ministry construction to ensure that it remains solidly grounded on the Word of God. Where Is Your Church Going? Will help you conduct a careful inspection of your church using the epistle of 1Timothy. By faithfully following Biblical instruction, your church will function in its God-given role as “the pillar and ground of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15).
4. College & Career Class
Title of class: “Faith in Action”
Teacher: Bill Carmean
Begins: October 30th, 2011
Location: Church Office
Description:
The book of James reads like a manual for practical daily life. In fact, James has been called the Proverbs of the New Testament because it prepares believers to live wisely.
Struggling with hard times? Frustrated that prayers seem unanswered? Losing the battle with temptation? Longing to
control your words? Confused about the place of faith and of works? Striving to realize the kind of life the bible presents
as normal Christian living? James is the right place for you. Faith in Action was designed to help you understand the
contents of James’ book and relate those truths to your situation.
